MY TOP 10 NEWS STORIES OF 2011

1. New Haven 31 Killings  - its something that is constantly is happening and growing 
2. Occupy Wall Street - seems to have alot of people talking
3. Japan's Earthquake - somthing like this happens every year
4. NBA lockout - people didn't know when they was gonna start
5. Casey Anthony -this was a big topic that made people mad
6. beyonce- people want to know if shes really having a baby and if she is why is she making videos with her rolling around

• To what makes one news story better than the other is the amount of play the story gets. Also if it changes or adds up more and more. I also think that sometimes it depends on how the writer tells the story.
• to me in order for the news stories to be improtant for more than one day if it has alot to do with people around

• CLUELESS PARENTS
• PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY ARE BETTER THEN OTHERS

The main thing that gets me mad is when people get mad over the dumbest things. Like I feel as if you was to have a problem with me that you should come to me and tell me not run and tell other people. That just makes the problem worst and our friendship if it was one. We are not in middle school anymore like grow up if you not big enough to tell me then keep it to yourself. It’s really annoying but it is like the people that say the too old for it this is dumb but you don’t realize you’re doing it now.

Like in Basketball Wives Jackie Christie got mad at the other girls because she got caught out in a lie. She was starting all this drama running back and forth doing he said she said. When the other girls got together they realized that she was at the starting point of it all. So when she was confronted she still denied it and tried to turn it back on the other girls. I think if she was to stand up and say she said it maybe they would be more forgiving but not telling her as much as they did. Like when you do stuff like that you burn you bridges with your friends and they start to look at you differently it’s not cool and it’s not a good look. Like its time to grow up Jackie Christie is 41 and she still haven’t grown up yet. So if you don’t want to be like her change your ways.

YOUTH TAKES A STAND!!!

On November 2, 2011; the youth of New Haven marched down town for more jobs for youth and no violence. I was proud to be a part of something so overwellming. i feel like we got the message out to the public that if you occupy the youth by allowing the to get jobs we wont have time to be playing with guns or sealing drugs to get money. The public don't seem to understand that teens today will find a way to get money nd if your making it hard for them to get a legitimate job they will turn another way which will lead them down the wrong path. We also let the public know that we are tired of friends nd family being killed over dumb stuff its becoming more of a problem because the death toll is now at 29. 29people have been killed in new haven thats sad like its to the point when you wanna stay in the house all hours of the day not try and be out in the streets and we shouldnt have to be like that we should be able to walk down the street without being scared. I personal don't understand how someone can take another persons life. Do you not realize that they have family people that care for them also that your actions dont just affect one person but many people. what ever happended to just fighting now you want to bring guns and knifes in to it nither one of them makes you look big or bad i personal think if you have to take it that far to use a gun or knife and not your hands that your a punk you have to be a real punk to pull a gun on someone and take they life.

From this march I hope that the youth of New Haven realize that its not fun and games it its time to get your head out the streets and into some books. I know i realzied it because its not worth my life!

DRAMA AT SKOOL

PEOPLE GETTIN MAD FOR NO REASON JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE TOLD ME ABOUT THEY NAPPY HAIR SMH GET OVER IT.

METRO'S NEW LOOK!!

PEOPLE SAY THAT IT HAS BEEN A LOT OF CHANGES AT METRO THIS YEAR. I DO THINK THATS TRUE. IT'S JUST MINOR THINGS:

1. DRESS CODE
2. NEW CLASSES
3. PEOPLE LEFT

• DRESS CODE: THIS YEAR WE HAVE UNIFORMS, IM NOT TO HAPPY ABOUT THAT. I WAS LOOKING FOWARD TO DRESSING UP AGAIN LIKE LAST YEAR BUT I GUESS THATS NOT HAPPENING. THEY SAY THE REASONS BEHIND THE CHANGE IN THE DRESS CODE IS BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T INFORCE IT AND IT WAS STARTING TO COST PEOPLE A LOT OF MONEY. BUT THEY FAIL TO REALIZE THAT THE UNIFORMS COST A LOT OF MONEY ALSO. I PERSONALY DON,T UNDERSTAND WHY WE CANT WEAR REGULAR CLOTHES I MEAN WE ARE IN HIGH SCHOOL AND NOT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
• NEW CLASSES: WE HAVE ALOT OF NEW CLASSES BUT SOME ARE NOT WAT PEOPLE WAS EXPECTING. THE FIRST WEEK EVERYONE WAS IN THE OFFICE WAITING TO CHANGE CLASSES THAT THE DIDN'T LIKE. EVEN ME I WAS IN THE OFFICE EVERYDAY TO CHANGE A CLASS I DIDN'T LIKE.
• PEOPLE LEFT: A LOT OF PEOPLE LEFT BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T LIKE THE CHANGES IN METRO. I WAS THINKING ABOUT LEAVEING BECAUSE I DIDNT AGREE WITH THE UNIFORMS BUT ITS NO POINT NOW.
